Ein kleines Lebenszeichen von mir. Momentan ist es schwer, Zeit und die Möglichkeit zu finden, Bilder zu bloggen. Zum einen technische als auch zeitliche Themen verhindern es recht zuverlässig. Aber, in ein paar Wochen ist das überstanden und es gibt neues Material, versprochen! Bis dahin, zwei Bilder der letzten Wochen um die Zeit zu überbrücken. Und dann gibt es ja immer noch facebook und Twitter 😉

A small sign of life from me. It is quite a challenge to blog and post pictures since I have some difficulties – both technical and timewise to connect to the blog and have things done. But it will get better in the next few weeks, I promise! In the meantime, two recent shots for your viewing pleasure. And for the most impatient ones, there is always Facebook and Twitter 😉
Arbeitswochenende
Was für ein Wochenende! Während manche einer sich von der Arbeit erholen mag, packe ich meinen Rucksack voll mit Kamera und Ausrüstung und schieße für mich, für Freunde und neue Bekannte.
What a weekend! While the ‘ordinary man’ might relax and enjoy their free time, I have used the two days for shootings. Geared up with the whole equipment, I shot for old and somewhat new Friends. And of course for myself, too.

Der Samstag beginnt ruhig. Eigentlich war gemütliches Fotografieren in Stuttgarts Straßen angesagt. Doch mit einem Anruf änderte sich das.
Saturday started pretty quiet. I wanted to try out a bit of Street photography in Stuttgart and was looking for some good shots already. A call changed plans a bit, though.

Way to Bodhi hatte einen spontanen Gig im ‘Insider’s’ Rock Pub, etwa eine halbe Stunde aus Stuttgart raus in etwas, was manch einer auch als Wohnzimmer bezeichnen könnte. Die Show war trotzdem große Klasse und wer mutig genug war, die Lautstärke auszuhalten hatte sehr viel Spaß am Konzert.
Way to Bodhi organised a gig on very short notice in Hochdorf’s ‘Insider’s’. What some people would consider the size of a living room was the stage of a rock pub half an hour outside of Stuttgart. All those who did not flee because of the loud music had a blast there.

Sonntag wurde dann etwas ruhiger. So etwas wie ein Auftrag gab es. Die Skater, für die ich auch während der WM Ende des Monats in Stuttgart Photograph sein werde (siehe die Bilder hier), hatten ihr zweites Conejudges Training. Eine Herausforderung bei ständigen Schauern. Dennoch sind einige gute Bilder dabei rausgesprungen.
Sunday was a day to relax for me, too. Well, almost. The group of skaters (see the other post here) had their second conejudges training in the afternoon and I had another go at learning to shoot at high speed. Slowly but surely, I get quite confident for the world championships at the end of the month in Stuttgart.

Zum Abschluss, ein bischen Seeluft in Deutschlands Südwesten. Der Hamburger Fischmarkt hatte seinen letzten Tag. Und so ganz verpassen wollte ich das dann doch nicht. Ein paar Eindrücke.
The end of the weekend got a bit maritime. Hamburg’s Fishmarket transported their stands and Sellers and Traders to the southwest and invited everyone in for quite some time. A few impressions.

Skateslalom – Conejudges Training
English translation below.
Kaum ist Bern vorbei, wartet das nächste Projekt. Vom 27. bis 29. Juli finden in Stuttgart die ISSA Skateslalom Weltmeisterschaften statt. Und ich darf fotografieren. Heute war Probetraining für die Conejudges und auch für mich. Sehr hilfreich, um sich an die hohe Geschwindigkeit zu gewöhnen.
With Bern over, the next challenge is quite ahead. Stuttgart hosts the ISSA Skateslalom World Championships from July 27th until July 29th. I’m allowed to shoot throughout the whole event! There was a practice session today. Mainly for the cone judges, but given the skaters’ high speed, I could use some practice myself.
